New Website Design! New Features Coming!

So, if you are reading this, you’ve probably noticed my blog looks different. I have changed to a new website design over the weekend! Why? Well, first of all, because I like this design better. But more importantly, this design gives me the ability to add extra features to my website! All of these features are currently in progress, and will be active within the next few weeks or so.

The most exciting new feature is the ability to provide my online courses directly from my website! I currently have 4 online courses created, and I will be adding them to my website in the next few weeks. I will be adding more and more courses over time, and I plan to have over 50 total courses. So, why should you buy my courses directly from me, and not from a platform like Udemy? Well, first of all, it will be cheaper to buy the course directly from me. I plan to list the course prices at over $10 less than on Udemy. YOU save money. (And, if you get a coupon code, you’ll save even more!) Also, you should buy directly from me to support a small business, owned by a woman who has disabilities. Platforms like Udemy take the majority of the sale of each course purchased, so it is difficult to run a business this way.

The next exciting new feature is the ability to sell tickets to online events, like webinars! In the near future, I will be creating a series of webinars on various Anthropology topics. Some of the webinars will be free and some will have a small fee. Either way, you’ll be able to book tickets directly through my website, using Paypal and/or other payment gateways. The webinars will be held using the Cisco Webex platform, and you won’t need an account with them in order to view the webinars.

Another new feature is the ability to show my featured courses on the same page as my blog, to increase visibility. And, I now have the ability to show both my Instagram feed and Twitter feed directly on my blog page as well.

Also, while many of my webpages are basically the same as before, I have a brand new home page! This home page features a video slider, which looks really cool–make sure to check it out after reading this post. Also on the home page is a list of featured courses and some statistics about my students. You can also view a few upcoming events on the home page, too. In addition, you can read reviews and comments from my students on the home page as well.

I’m very excited about these new features, and I hope you are, too! Looking forward to seeing you in a course or webinar sometime soon! Thanks for reading!

Best Wishes,

Keirsten
